25 years ago today, on February 22 1987, the great artist Andy Warhol passed away.

Leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art, Andy who prematurely died at the age of 58, has left a real trademark in the Artistic world. With his daring collection of masterpieces exploring artistic expression, showbiz industry and advertisement, Warhol embodies the American pop culture of the 60s-80s and paved the way to numbers of artists and trends.

Today, we wanted to remember this great visionary who also brought a notable contribution to the Festival, in designing in 1986 - along with Keith Haring - the official poster for the 20th edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival.
