The jury of the Swiss Blues Award offered yesterday night the first ever Lifetime Achievement Award to Claude Nobs.
He is honored for his commitment to blues. Indeed since 1967, Claude Nobs offers the blues a worthy platform in his Festival. Numbers of artists such as B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Koko Taylor, T-Bone Walker, Buddy Guy, Freddie King, Albert King, Albert Collins - to name a few - have come to Montreux and performed memorable concerts.
The Montreux Jazz Festival founder is incorporated into the newly created Swiss Blues Hall Of Fame.
